    I noticed that several of the links in the book are no longer active. I went to the companion Web site hoping to get an update. Boy, was I disappointed! I found a little more than 25 links and nothing else! The companion web site was supposed to be a major selling point of the book, but it did NOT live up to its promise. Shame to the publisher.

    The book was great to help me understand how to increase the effectiveness of internet marketing techniques, and the companion site was a hands-on resource! I was able to surf sites on topics ranging from Internet Advertising Networks and Placement to Web Portals and Search Engines. The companion site showed me best in class examples, as well as lead me to sites that will help me execute better Internet marketing programs. I recommend the companion site as a true portal to the best sites on the Web for Internet marketing professionals!

    Barry Silverstein gives practical and proven tips and tricks of the online direct marketing trade in combination with usefull business cases. The first two chapters are a bit basic, but you may skip them if you know it allready. You can read the book randomly and search for topics of interest. I enjoyed it a very much and found only two drawbacks: It is all Americain (examples and reference sites) and there is not much figure material to back up the theories.

    To conclude: If you’re a marketing professional and want to have full use of the internet this is an eye opener!
